- These people work fast - the fire was put out just 12 hours ago. They are spraying water on a bit of debris and the next house has had some damage too.

bearfuz Wow, it was so bad they had to condemn it, huh? That poor man! I wonder if he lost all of his keepsakes?
rsc I assume that it was rendered structurally unsound beyond the point of repair. The fact that there was a fireman intermittently spraying water on the debris as the demolition was going on suggests that there was at least the possibility of some smoldering still going in there somewhere.
