rsc just posted about the memorial service for his Mother which includes a family picture from 1956.

Now it just so happens that in the summer of 1957 (among other years) I was a camp counsellor at Camp Tacoma Pines in Maine (long since defunct) and in my cabin was a camper, Dan Coren. Little did I know that 14 years later I would meet his brother who is now my husband!

I'm on the left, Dan is on the right.
I wonder where all those other people are?

Um, that's quite an impressive basket you've got there.

BTW, could you send me an e-mail? I've got some camp questions.

No, dear. Dance camp isn't all that campy, except when certain Cantabrigians of my aquaintance dress up in shirtwaist dresses, pocketbooks and all. Lovely. We're too busy dancing.

And fornicating.

Indeed, I was quite taken aback when the first question jwg asked during my phone interview was whether I had a brother named Dan.

Heh! Well, having worked with you (and for him) back there, I knew what you meant by that, but I would have been kind of startled if I hadn't.
