Sgt. Clifton Merriman - a bit more

Last week I wrote about attending a memorial to Sgt. Clifton Merriman. I found this picture that was taken of me looking at replicas of some of his medals that are displayed in the Central Square Post Office lobby.

At the corner of West St and Inman St there is a sign naming the square after him. (The City Council names lots of spots after distinguished people and calls them squares even if they are not (e.g. Putnam Circle has a Sullivan Square sign); Inman Square which a well known intersection has no Inman Square sign but there are 3 other commemorative square signs on street corners there.)
