A half day of the new year is past - 364 1/2 to go

Oops, too late to make new year's resolutions. Wait 'til next year.

We had a nice quiet evening with a bunch of our dancing friends. We couldn't quite find the stroke midnight even though we'd all reset our clicks to cope with the leap second. A few noise makers and some Prosecco or sparking cider to toast in the year. Earlier we did a few contra dances, square dances and one English Country dance and then listened to a 1948 Fibber McGee and Molly show.

And soon we are off to the annual new year's day party of a couple of friends of ours where we always see a bunch of old work colleagues from 20-30 years ago.
