Shops in Rome

Wandering through the streets of Rome we encountered lots of shops selling all kinds of stuff. There were high-end clothes, antiques and decor, regular clothes, shoes, food.

In Rome, unlike in Egypt you can just look at things for sale without being barraged by the vendors trying to sell you their wares.

One of the things that always surprises me is the distressed jeans that they sell for exorbitant prices. We saw a pair for I think 150 Euros which is worth $211 - and maybe it was even higher priced. Who would buy such things at that price? Young girls I would think since they were quite small. I've seen these in prior trips to Italy - they were even more expensive in Florence. Maybe instead of throwing out my tattered clothes I should bring them to Italy and try to sell them.
