Statues in Rome

Those Renaissance sculptors did some amazing work and a lot of their works can be see on building sides and roofs, in the many squares, and of course in the Vatican Museum. A few pigeons took advantage of them for perches of course. Walking around the inner city was a bit like being in a museum.

We didn't notice any of these so-called Talking Statues but apparently some of the statues have poems and other things posted on them - a tradition that started in the 16th century.
