Cambridge (MA) Pride Brunch - Sat, June 12 9:30-11 at City Hall

I am one of the organizers of the Cambridge Lavender Alliance (CLA) . One of the things that we do is put on a brunch at Cambridge City Hall before the Boston Pride March. This years is the 14th annual one. This is our annual Queers take over City Hall event (although we had an earlier version of doing this on May 16/17th this year).

We have food donated by local eateries, a few speeches, community recognition awards including one to Susan Shepherd & Marcia Hams - the first couple to apply for a license to legally marry in the United States (and Cambridge), and free bus transportation to the Boston March.

We will also be announcing the creation of the Cambridge GLBT Commission a recent happening ordered by the City Council. It's launch was accelerated partly as a result of the meeting that I caused to happen and went to yesterday with Denise Simmons (the City Councillor who initiated the order) and the City Manager (it is he who appoints the commissioners).

You don't have to live or work in Cambridge to come this brunch.
