I've been having a lot of trouble with my neck especially when I bend my head forward and down. In addition to physical therapy, lots of neck exercises, and some massage, I decided to see what I could do to not bend my head forward and down so much since that is a major aggravator. My normal glasses are progressive bifocals and when I am at a concert or a baseball game with seats above the action or when watching TV if I look through the bottom of my glasses I'd get the reading part so I naturally l lean forward so I can look out of the center or top part of my glasses.
I just got a pair of distance-only glasses. And they seem to really help my neck. Of course I can't read anything with them but I can take them off if I need to. I can read printed matter and computer screens without my glasses which is what I normally do. I hate the idea of more than one pair of glasses since they always get misplaced. It's bad enough when I take off my glasses to read and then can't find them even if they are on the top of my head - I don't always place them there. These new ones will sit near the TV and I have to remember to take them when I go to concerts or baseball games.
